A Small Project

A Small Project

“A Small Project” didn’t start out as a project, but as the metaphorical image ideas that grew quickly. Using “N” and “HO” scale model train figures and software to increase the depth of field was still new 2005.  The software stacks multiple images together to create greater depth of field than is otherwise possible with current camera technologies.

Some these scenes are the result of stacking 38 separate images. And I found the greatest distraction was dust. Since some of these figures are less than 1/2 inch in height, the smallest dust particle destroyed that metal image we have a cleanroom environment. Proving that sometimes it’s about what we don’t see that matters the most.
