First Snow fall in Bremerton
We moved to Bremerton in the spring of 2016 and I’m just starting to get to know the place. One thing I noticed off the bat was the amount of rainfall here living so close to the foothills of the Olympic mountains. Much heavier than the general Seattle area. But I was also looking forward for snow. You know, those first huge white fluffy snowflakes of the season. And in Dec I was not disappointed.
Apparently, it was the first snowfall in 2 years in Bremerton. It started well after dusk and I was so excited I couldn’t sleep. I gathered all my gear about 5am and setup for the first morning light. It was still dark out and the snow was only a few inches deep, but it covered everything. I was hoping for some early morning warm colors, but the sky maintained a blue/gray hue. I took several shots for; panoramic, HDR and normal exposures. This is the one on my home page and my favorite of the bunch.
